Current status: Valid as Archolaemus blax Korringa 1970. Sternopygidae: Eigenmanniinae. Distribution: South America: Tocantins River basin (northeastern Brazil). Habitat: freshwater.

Holotype: CAS 41753 [ex IU 15739] (1 of 3). Paratypes: CAS 41753 [ex IU 15739] (now 2 of 3), USNM 323935 [ex Univ. Kentucky] (1). Type catalog: Ferraris et al. 2017:[30] [ref. 35236]. Type catalog: Ferraris et al. 2017:[34] [ref. 35236]. •Synonym of Rhabdolichops troscheli (Kaup 1857) -- (Mago-Leccia 1994:22 [ref. 21320], Albert in Reis et al. 2003:489 [ref. 27061], Ferraris et al. 2017:[34] [ref. 35236]). Current status: Synonym of Rhabdolichops troscheli (Kaup 1857). Sternopygidae: Eigenmanniinae. Habitat: freshwater.
